The Hive, a month of sustainable excellence and innovation

Throughout the entire month of October 2023, we opened our doors to industry experts, offering an in-depth look into the sustainable future of the food service industry.

The Hive, a month-long performance, creating a global platform where innovation and solutions were exchanged, brought together 350 guests from 30 different countries.

13 Events: we orchestrated a diverse range of, each tailored to showcase the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.

350 Guests from 30 countries: an international gathering of guests added a rich diversity to the month-long celebration, fostering cross-cultural collaboration and networking opportunities.

104 Sessions on sustainable solutions: the heart of the showcase was the in-depth exploration of sustainable solutions, with multiple dedicated sessions providing valuable insights. From eco-friendly practices to energy-efficient technologies, we demonstrated our unwavering commitment to a greener future. One of the latest sustainable solutions we developed is HeroDry, the free-standing blower for reusable cups and tableware, part of our ‘’Circular economy’’ initiative.

30 Panels on customer-driven innovation: recognizing the importance of customer-centric approaches, we hosted a full series of engaging panels that delved into customer-driven innovation, shaping the future of the food service industry.

50 Hours of cooking demos: culinary experts and professionals were welcomed to an impressive set of cooking demonstrations, where we showcased the cutting-edge technology and benefits of our professional kitchen solutions, including the recently launched GourmeXpress High Speed Oven.

36 km Walked in factory tours: guests were not only immersed in workshops and demos, but also had the unique opportunity to witness some of our inner processes through extensive factory and R&D Test Lab tours.

The Hive is a space where innovations and new ideas are exchanged from a sustainable perspective”, says Camilla Monefeldt Kirstein, President Business Area Food Europe. “There is a need and desire in the industry to get together and discuss solutions for the greater good, because everyone is facing the same challenges when it comes to the high cost of energy and targeting reduced emissions.”
