Electrolux buys UNIC to extend its beverage offer

As Electrolux business area Professional Products informed, it has had UNIC S.A.S. bought. That’s a French producer of top-notch espresso machines. In fact, the given deal strengthens the giant’s offer of beverages. What’s more, it helps to become a leader in providing top-notch solutions for the foodservice sector.

Being a well-known producer of espresso machines, in particular, traditional and fully automatic models, UNIC boasts a century of rich manufacturing experience and high quality. Last year, UNIC had EUR 20 million worth of net sales and up to 130 staff members. Its key production facility, as well as headquarters, are located close to Nice.



The deal turns out to be part of Electrolux Professional Products’ stance to have a monopoly of a full offering of food services within one brand. Along with other acquisitions such as SPM Drink Systems and also Grindmaster-Cecilware, UNIC drastically extends the giant’s portfolio of frozen, cold, and hot beverages.

The Head of Electrolux Professional Products, Alberto Zanata told that the automatic solutions of UNIC will back their offers and help the company to retain its position in the rapidly developing coffee market.
